The Flyers (3-1-0) got rid of the bad taste in their mouth after Monday night’s 6-1 loss to the Sabres (1-3-0) by shutting out the Sabres 3-0 on Tuesday night. After a scoreless first period Travis Konecny (4) gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead late in the second. Jakub Voracek (1) put the Flyers up 2-0 in the third. Kevin Hayes (2) added an empty net goal to seal it. Brian Elliott stopped all 40 shots he faced. Jonas Johansson replaced Sabres starting goalie Carter Hutton in the third period. Morgan Frost, and Philippe Myers both left the game with undisclosed injuries for the Flyers.
