Howie Roseman may have just cemented his legacy as the dumbest G.M. In Eagles history. Why? After the Dolphins traded the 3rd pick in the draft, the Eagles announced they traded the 6th pick, the 156 pick to the Dolphins for the 12th pick, the 123rd pick, and a 2022 first round pick. On paper this may look like a good deal, but consider the Eagles tanked the last game of the season to get the 6th pick instead of the 9th only to turn around and trade it for the 12th pick doesn’t make much sense. Not sure what this guy is thinking. One of the Eagles biggest needs is at WR, and the three very good ones sitting there he better hope one is sitting there at #12. Is he going to draft a QB at 12? If so does that mean he is going to do to Jalen Hursts what he did Carson Wentz when he drafted Hurts, only he will avoid the disaster with Hurts that he created with Wentz with his contract. Giving up the sixth pick for the twelfth is like passing up on a slam dunk for a three pointer that turns out to be an air ball.

Howie Roseman does not have a good track record in evaluating talent. Consider all of the star talent Roseman has passed on looking for that so called diamond in the rough, that hasn’t worked out well has it. He very well could have drafted a #1 WR at #6, but now it looks like he passed on that for what, only time will tell. The Eagles are a mess right now thanks to Howie Roseman. Could this trade work out well for the Eagles? Sure, but it’s Howie Roseman so it’s not likely. Hopefully this Lifelong Eagles can is wrong.
