The Sabres came into this game having lost 17 straight games so you would figure sooner or later that streak will end. Sometimes bad teams win, and you hope that streak doesn’t come to an end against your favorite team. The Sabres took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission thanks to a goal by Henri Jokiharju (2). The Sabres scored two more goals in the second period, Eakin (2), Montour (2), to take a 3-0 lead into the third period, and it looked like this would be the night the losing streak ended. Would love to know what was said in the Flyers locker room during the intermission because it worked. Kevin Hayes (11) scored early in the third to cut it to 3-1. Claude Giroux (9) scored halfway through the third to cut it to 3-2. Then Sean Couturier (10) scored with 1:19 left to the it 3-3 and send it to OT. Ivan Provorov (5) would score just :42 into OT to complete the comeback and give the Flyers a 4-3 win, and extend the Sabres losing streak to 18 games.
