
The Phillies improved to 4-0 after a 5-3 win over the Mets on Monday night. A pair of RBI singles by James McCann, and Jacob deGrom in the fourth inning gave the Mets a 2-0 lead. The scored stayed that way until the bottom of the eighth when the wheels fell off for the Mets. With the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth Bryce Harper was hit by a pitch to score Brad Miller. J.T. Realmuto singled to score Roman Quinn, and the the game at 2-2. Then Alec Bohm hit a grounder to third, and instead of a force out at the plate Rhys Hoskins, and Bryce Harper scored when the catcher missed the ball. The Phillies added a fifth run on Didi Gregorious sacrifice fly. The Mets got one last run on a Michael Conforto RBI single in the nineth.
