
You can forget about the 162-0 season for the Phillies now, after an 8-4 loss to the Mets on Tuesday night. Dominic Smith (1) put the Mets up 2-0 with a two run homer in the top of the fourth. Didi Gregorius ( 1) cut it to 2-1 with a solo home run in the bottom half of the inning. Vince Velasquez opened the flood Hayes by walking tour batters in the seventh that allowed the Mets to score four runs and take a 6-1 lead. The Phillies got one of those runs back in the bottom half with an RBI single. Pete Alonso’s (1) two run home in the top of the ninth put the Mets up 8-2. The Phillies managed two score two runs in the bottom of the ninth for the 8-4 final
