About the only bright spot about the Flyers season series with the Bruins is that after losing the first five they have won 2 of the last three after their 3-2 win on Saturday afternoon’s season series finale. The Bruins jumped out to a 1-0 lead on Patrice Bergeron ‘s (13) goal early in the first. The Flyers responded with goals by Travis Konecny (9) that tied it 1-1, and Shayne Gostisbehere (7) that have the Flyers a 2-1 lead after one period. The line goal in the second period was scored by the Bruins’ Jake DeBrusk (4) that tied it 2-2 heading into the third period. Sean Couturier ‘s (14) goal in the third period to give the Flyers a 3-2 lead turned out to be the game winner. The win pulls the Flyers within four points of the Bruins for the last playoff spot.
