This is The type of game that even the most optimistic Flyers fan would call disgusting. The Flyers jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Oskar Lindblom (6), and Joel Gardner (15) and things were looking good. But this is the Flyers and lately no lead is safe that they actually had, not many. After the Sabres tied it 2-2 in the second on goals by San Reinhart (14), and Artuu Routslainen (1) Shayne Gostisbehere (8) gave the Flyers a 3-2 lead early in the third. The score would stay that way until there were three minutes left, and disaster struck. That’s when Jeff Skinner (5), and Rasmus Asplund (5) scored twenty five seconds apart to give the Sabres a 4-3 lead. Casey Mittelstadt (6) added an empty net goal, and what looked like a possible 3-2 Flyers win turned into a 5-3 loss that has put the Flyers playoff chances on life support. The question now is with the trade deadline looming is will any move the Flyers make have any chance of actually helping this team.
