The Flyers and Penguins opened up the final two meetings in the “Battle of Pa” For the season on Monday night. It was the type of game that left Flyers fans saying where was this team all season. The Flyers ended their losing streak at three games , and clinched bragging rights by clinching the “Battle of Pa” series with the Penguins with a 7-2 win. Kevin Hayes (12), Shayne Gostisbeher (9), and Claude Giroux (15) gave the Flyers a 3-0 lead after one period. Wade Allison (2) made it 4-0 Flyers after two. The Penguins managed to cut it to 4-2, but Joel Gardner (17), Claude Giroux (16), and Robert Hagg (2) ended any thoughts of a Penguins comeback.
