
The Phillies opened up a four game series with the Brewers on Monday by escaping with a 4-3 win. Lorenzo Cain (3) have the Brewers a quick 1-0lead with a solo home run in the top of the first. The Phillies took a 2-1 lead in the bottom half on J. T. Franklin’s (3) two run homer. The Phillies went up 4-1 in the second on a Roman Quinn RBI triple, and a Vince Velasquez ground out. The Brewers cut it to 4-3 with a pair of runs in the eighth. Hector Neris was able to pitch out of some ninth inning trouble to pick up the save.
