
The Phillies used a five run ninth inning to come from behind and take the first of our games against the Nationals by the score of 7-5. The Phillies went into the ninth down 3-2. Ronald Torreyes, and Travis Jankowski singled then Jean Segura’s double tied the score 3-3. After Bryce Harper was intentionally walked J.T. Realmuto’s two run single put the Phillies up 5-3. Alec Bohm’s RBI single put the Phillies up 6-3. Didi Gregorius grounded into a double play where Alec Bohm got into a run down that allowed J.T. Realmuto to score to make it 7-3. For the second night in a row Ian Kennedy gave up a two run homer, but settled down to get the final three outs to give the Phillies the win.
