The Small Sports Blog spent the last few days in sunny Florida for Phillies spring training. The first time down was back in 2020 right before Covid shut everything down and made it impossible to attend spring training for the last two years. We went to Saturday afternoon’s spring training home opener against the Blue Jays. The Phillies are celebrating 75 years in Clearwater. Not sure we would be able to get there this year due to the lockout, but fortunately the baseball gods intervened and ended the lockout. The Phillies hung on to win 3-2 making it a successful trip.
