The Phillies extended their winning streak to five games, 4-0 under Rob Thomson, with a 3-2 come from behind win over the Brewers on Tuesday night. Brewers’ closer Josh Harder came in to pitch the ninth looking to set a major league record of 41 scoreless innings. Harder had not allowed a run since July 28 2021, and had not blown a save since July 7 2021. Like they say all good things must come to an end sometime. Alec Bohm tied the game with a solo home run off Hader, then after Bryson Stott flew out to left field, Matt Vierling took harder deep to give the Phillies a 3-2 lead. Corey Knebel made thing interesting in the bottom of the ninth. Knebel walked the bases loaded then struck out Pablo Reyes to end the game.
