The Flyers just couldn’t put the Washington Capitals away on Satursay afternoon, losing to the Caps 3-2. Nicholas Backstrom and Sergei Federov put the Caps up 2-0. Vinny Prospal scored a PPG to cut it to 2-1. Alexander Semin’ third period PPG put the Caps up 3-1. Derian Hatcher scored to cut it to 3-2 with 4:43 left but the Flyers just couldn’t get the tying goal. Bad news forthe Flyers, they will be without Mike Knuble for the rest of this series with a parcial tear in his left hamstring. The Flyers now lead the series 3-2, and can finish off the Capitals at home on Monday night.
