A Perfect Ending

The Phillies beat the San Francisco Giants in ten innings 6-5 and it was a perfect ending. The game saw the return of Philly fan favorite Aaron Rowand to Citizen’s Bank Park. Its a shame that he palyed so well last season that the Phillies could no longer afford him. The game wasn’t a disappointment. In the top of the tenth Rowand hit what appeared to be the game winning home run putting the Giants up 5-4, but with two outs and Chase Utley on first base up stepped Pat Burrell (good thing it wasn’t the mighty Casey). With the count 3-2 Burrell took the next pitch and deposited it in the left field seats for a 6-5 Phillies win. Can you ask for a better ending than that? Its just a shame for those fans who decided to leave early and missed it.
