The Mets took round 12 by the score of 6-3, no nineth inning comebacks for the Phillies on this night. The game marked the return of Brett Myers to the Phillies rotation. What ever it was the Myers was working on in the minors, remembering where the strike zone is should have been one area. After getting the first out Myers then walked the next four batters giving the Mets a 1-0 lead. The Mets first 2 runs were score without a hit, thanks to Myers control problems. Shane Victorino and Geogg Jenkins hit back to back home runs to tie it at 2-2. The Mets took the lead again at 3-2 but the Phillies came back and tied it a 3-3. Jose Reyes put the Mets up for good at 6-3 with a 3-run homer in the sixth inning off of Ryan Madson. Myers went 5 innings giving up 3 runs, 3 hits, 5 BB, 2 K’s and 1 hit batter, and picked up a no-decision. John Maine on the other hand improved to 5-0 against the Phillies.
