The Philadelphia Flyers have signed restricted free agent D Shea Weber of the Nashville Predators to a 14 year, $110 million offer sheet. Under the rules of the current CBA the Predators have one week to match the offer, Predator officials have said they would match any offer made by any team for Weber, but is this too rich for their blood? If the Predator’s don’t match the offer, they will receive 4 first round picks from the Flyers as compensation. Under terms of the agreement Weber would receive $80 million in the first six years, and $68 million of that would be in the form of bonuses, it has to do with cap rules. If they don’t match the offer this would be the second All Star defenseman the Predators would lose in recent weeks, the other being Ryan Suter, the Flyers also made offer to him, who signed with the Minnesota Wild for 13 years and $98 million. Stay tuned Flyers fans.
