The Flyers came out of the first period with a 1-0 lead against the Blackhawks thanks to a PPG by Jakub Voracek. the second period saw the Blackhawks go on the warpath, scoring 2 of their 5 second period goals in the first 1:22. After Steve Downie cut it to a 3-2 Chicago lead, the Blackhawks went back on the warpath to make it a 5-2 lead after two periods. The Blackhawks finished off the massacre with 2 more goals in the third period to make it a 7-2 final. Ray Emery’s return to Chicago was a forgettable one, being pulled :5 into the third period. The Flyers lose their third straight, end their six game road trip at 2-4, and drop to 13-15-3.
