It looked like Martin Brodeur was reliving his younger days against the Flyers where he would get an early 1-0 lead, thanks to a goal by Adam Henrique (10), then stop everything the Flyers threw at him. Fortunately, these are not the Devils of Brodeur’s younger days, and this is not the same Flyers team that started off 0-7-1. The Sports Den would like to take this time and thank those people in Canada who selected their Olympic hockey team for leaving Claude Giroux off it, and possibly putting a great big chip on his shoulder for the rest of the season. Brodeur and the Devils took a 1-0 lead into the third period when Claude Giroux (13) would tie it on a PP goal about five minutes in. Scott Hartnell gave the Flyers a 2-1 lead just over four minutes later. The Flyers did allow the Devils to tie it 2-2 with just :30 seconds left in regulation. It was only fitting that Brayden Schenn (11) would return to the ice after getting sliced by a skate blade to score the game winner in OT. The Flyers finish up their six game road trip 5-1-0. After the start the Flyers got off to who would’ve thought they would be 22-17-4, and sitting in second place in the Metropolitan Division right now.
Three Stars of the Game:

2. M. Ryder, RW Devils – 1 G, 0 A, 1 Pt. +1
3. M. Brodeur, G Devils – 28 SA. 3 GA, .893 SV %
