It wasn’t a good weekend for the Flyers. After losing Saturday afternoon to the Lightning the Flyers were roughed up by the Rangers on Sunday night losing their second straight game 4-1. The Rangers scored 2 goals just :30 apart early in the first for a 2-0 lead, then scored again later in the period to take a 3-0 lead after one. The Rangers added another goal in the second to make it 4-0 after two. The Flyers avoided the shutout when Mark Streit scored on the power play in the third period. The loss drops the Flyers (23-19-4) to fourth int the Metropolitan Division. Rangers goal scorers: Dan Carcillo (2), Rick Nash (11), Derick Brassard (8), Chris Kreider (12).
