The Flyers took the first game of a home and home against the Islanders by the score of 6-4. The Islanders jumped out to a 2-0 lead then Andrej Meszaros scored the nest two goals to tie it  2-2 at the end of one. Adam Hall gave the Flyers a 3-2 lead early in the second. The Islanders would score the nest two goals to take a 4-3 lead at the end of two. In the third Jakub Voracek’s goal would tie it 4-4. Then with just over four minutes left Michael Raffl scored to give the Flyers a 5-4 lead. Matt Read iced it with an empty net goal with :56 left. The Flyers improve to 25-19-5 and climb back into second place in the Metropolitan Division for now.
