Thanks to a snow storm the third meeting of the season between the Flyers , and Hurricanes was pushed back until tonight. The Hurricanes jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Alexander Semin, and Nathan Gerbe. The flyers responded to tie it at 2-2 on Claude Giroux’s 14th goal late in the second, and Scott Hartnell’s 12th early in the third. Unfortunately for the Flyers the last goal of the game came off the stick of Jiri Tlusty that gave the Hurricanes a 3-2 win, and their third straight win over the Flyers this season. The loss drops the Flyers to 25-20-6, and keeps them in third place in the Metropolitan Division one point behind the Rangers. The Hurricanes improve to 21-19-9, three points out of the second wild card in the Eastern Conference. Hurricanes goal scorers; Alexander Semin (10), Nathan Gerbe (10), Jiri Tlusty (7). Flyers goal scorers; Claude Giroux (14), Scott Hartnell (12).
