The Flyers were in Columbus to take on the Blue Jackets, and face former Flyer goalie Sergei Bobrovsky for the first time. The Flyers came into the game having lost their last two games, while the Blue jackets were riding a seven game winning streak. The Blue Jackets took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission. The Flyers responded by taking a 2-1 lead in the first half of the second period on goals Brayden Schenn, and Vinny Lecavalier. Unfortunately for the Flyers that would be it for the scoring. The Blue Jackets dominated the rest of the game scoring four unanswered goals for the 5-2 win. The Flyers drop their third straight and fall to fourth in the Metropolitan Division, while the Blue jackets win their eighth straight and jump over the Flyers into third in the division for now.
