The Flyers snapped their four game losing streak with a 5-0 shutout of the Detroit Red Wings . Steve Mason picked up his second shutout of the season, his 21st of his career, and fourth against the Red Wings. Mason’s job was made just a little easier since the Red Wings were without three of their best players, Henrik Zetterberg, Pavel Datsyuk, and Johan Fanzen. The loss means the Red Wings still haven’t won in Philly since the 1997 Stanley Cup Finals. Kimmo Timonen left the game in the second period with a lower body injury. The Flyers win the season series against the Red Wings 2-1. Hopefully this is a start to a nice long winning streak for the Flyers. Flyers goal scorers; Scott Hartnell 2 (14), Adam Hall (3), Claude Giroux (16), Sean Couturier (9).
