According to a report by ESPN, and first reported by Yahoo Sports, the Philadelphia 76ers have traded Spencer Hawes to the Cleveland Cavaliers for two second round draft picks, backup F Earl Clarke, and backup C Henry Sims. it’s a good deal for both teams. The Cavaliers get another big man for their attempt to make the playoffs, and the 76ers get a couple of expiring contracts they can dump at the end of the season. They also get a couple more 2014 draft picks in an attempt to rebuild the team in one draft.
Update: The 76ers have acquired G Eric Maynor (Wizards), and two more second round draft picks (2015, 2016) in a three team trade with the Washington Wizards and Denver Nuggets according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer via Philly.com
Update 2: According toYahoo Sports the Indian Pacers have sent Danny Granger to the 76ers in exchange for Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen.
