Andrew Shaw, and Duncan Keith scored goals just 1:22 apart to give the Blackhawks a 2-0 lead early in the first period. Scott Hartnell would score the next two goals, and after one period it was a 2-2 tie. That was the score at the end of regulation, and it looked like it would be the same at the end of OT. Just when everyone was starting to plan for a shootout, Claude Giroux decided to change those plans. There were roughly five seconds left in OT when Giroux let loose a shot the beat Blackhawk goalie Antti Raanta to give the Flyers a 3-2 come from behind OT win.Who knows what would have happened in the shootout, good thing Flyers fans didn’t have to find out. The win keeps the Flyers in second in the Metropolitan Division at 36-25-7, one point ahead of the Rangers. Ray Emery returned to the Flyers lineup and picked up the win against his former team.
