Andrew McDonald gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead, and the Rangers tied it three minutes later. the score stayed that way until the third period when Jason Akeson was hit with a four minute double minor for high sticking. The Rangers would score two goals on that power play by Brad Richards, and Derek Stepan to take a 3-1 lead. Carl Hagelin added a goal to make the final score 4-1 Rangers. The Flyers lose their ninth straight at MSG, and the Rangers take a 1-0 lead in the series.
