The Phillies extended their current losing streak to four games by losing for the fourth straight time to the Blue Jays after a 12-6 loss on Thursday night. The Phillies took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second the Blue Jays took over. They roughed up A.J. Burnett for 7 runs, 6 earned, and three home run in six innings, and then roughed up the bullpen for another 5 runs for a 12-3 lead after eight innings. The Phillies added three garbage runs in the ninth to make the final score, 12-6 just a little more respectable. This was the Phillies 20,000th game in their history, and their 10, 480th loss. The Phillies now have the same record after 33 games (15-18) as they did in 2012 (81-81), and 2013 (73-89). It’s not looking good right now.
