The Phillies snapped their three game losing streak by beating the Brewers 3-2 on Monday night. Chase Utley put the Phillies up 2-0 with a home run in the first, then scored a very important insurance run in the third that made it 3-0. The Brewers finally got to Cole Hamels (6.2 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K) in the fifth and cut the Phillies lead to 3-2, but that was the end of the scoring for this game. Jonathan Papelbon picked up his 20th save of the season. The Phillies improved to 38-51, and the Brewers lost for the sixth time in their last seven games to fall to 52-38.
