It took 15 innings for the Phillies to end their two game losing streak, and end the Astros’ three game inning streak, and pick up their 50th win of the season. Ryan Howard’s single in the bottom of the 15th drove in Grady Sizemore with the winning run for a 2-1 win. Both starting pitchers Dallas Keuchel (7 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K) for the Astros, and Kyle Kendrick (7 IP, 5 H 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K) for the Phillies pitched well enough to win but came away with a no decision. Ryan Howard gave the phillies a 1-0 lead with solo home run in the second. former Phillies prospect John Singleton, traded to Astros in Hunter Pence deal, tied it 1-1 with a RBI single in the seventh. It was the Phillies 5th game of 14 or more innings, and 6th game of 13 or more innings. The last time the Phillies played six games of 13 or more innings was in 1980. The Phillies improve to 50-63, and the Astros drop to 47-66.
