The Phillies took their second straight against the Astros by the score of 10-3. The Astros took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first off of Phillies starter David Buchanan ( 6.1 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 5 K). The Phillies responded by roughing up Astros starter Brad Peacock ( 5 IP, 7 H, 8 R, 8 ER, 4 BB, 4 K) for five runs in the bottom half of the inning. The Astros cut it to 5-2 with a run in the top of the fourth, and the Phillies responded again with three runs in the bottom half on a Chase Utley three run homer. Both teams would add runs in the seventh, and the Phillies ended the scoring with a run in the eighth. The Phillies improve to 51-63, and the Astros drop to 47-67. The Phillies go for the sweep on Thursday night.
