The Phillies and Mets kickoff a three game Labor day weekend series at Citi Field on Friday night. It’s the last meeting between the teams this season. The Phillies (61-72) come into this series riding a four game winning streak after sweeping the first place Nationals. The Mets (62-72) come in having lost their last two games. The Mets sit in fourth place in the NL East a half a game ahead of the Phillies. The Phillies have a 5-11 record against the Mets this season so this would be a good time for some payback by taking the series and putting the Mets in last place.
