The AFC East is an easy one to predict. The Patriots own this division for another season.
AFC East
1. New England Patriots* – Won the division with a 12-4 record in 2013. Should have no problem winning the division again this season, the only way they lose it is injuries since the other team in the division are not good enough to dethrone them. Prediction: 12-4
2. Miami Dolphins – Finished third with an 8-8 record last season. The Dolphins brought in Bill Lazor from the Eagles to be offensive Coordinator and run an up tempo offense. They added Knowshon Moreno from the Broncos. They’re still not good enough to challenge the Patriots, but should finish ahead of the Jets and Bills. Prediction: 9-7
3. N.Y. Jets – Finished in second place in the division last year with an 8-8 record. This team has been going downhill over the last couple of years, and it doesn’t look like its going to stop. The team has had some serious issues in the last few days. CB Dimitri Paterson was cut after being considered awol, WR Shaun Hill was cut and his agent blamed it on the Mark Sanchez /Tim Tebow circus. Jets assistant coaches accused Mike Vick of not trying hard enough to be the starter. Prediction: 7-9
4. Buffalo Bills – Finished last in the division in 2013 with a 6-10 record. Owner Ralph Wilson passed away during the off season and the Bills are in the process of finding a new owner which is a bit of a distraction. Have a solid run game with C.J. Spiller, and Fred Jackson. The passing game just got a little better with the addition of first round pick Sammy Watkins. on the down side, Kyle Orton is now the backup to E.J. Manuel. Still a work in progress. Prediction: 6-10
