The Phillies are in Oakland to take on the A’s in a three game inter league weekend series. Friday night’s series opener marks the 60th year since the A’s played their last home game in Philadelphia. In case you didn’t know Philadelphia at one time was home to both the Phillies and A’s, some fans to this day still say the wrong team left town. The Phillies come into this series having just lost 3 out of 4 to the Padres, while the A’s come in riding a 3 game losing streak after being swept by the Rangers. This has turned out to be a big series for the A’s since they are now in a battle for their playoff lives trying to hold on to one of the wild card spots. The Phillies of course will be looking to play spoiler.
