The Flyers kicked off the 2014/15 season with a 2-1 loss to the Boston Bruins. The Flyers held their own against what many experts including Vegas, consider the best team in the East. The Bruins would score on a power play goal by Reilly Smith (1) halfway through the first period. It stayed that way until Sean Couturier (1) tied it up 1-1just over four minutes into the third period. Unfortunately Chris Kelly(1) would score the eventual game winner with just under two minutes left in regulation. One down, eighty one to go.
