The last time the Sixers and Mavericks played the Sixers lost by 53. The Mavericks were in town to take on the Sixers in their final meeting of the season. Dirk Nowitzki, Jameer Nelson, and Greg Smith had the night off for the Mavericks. It didn’t matter the Mavericks still beat the Sixers 110-103. The loss is the Sixers 16th straight setting a new record for the worse start in team history. The Sixers are the fifth team in NBA history to start a season with at least 16 straight losses, 1994-95 Clippers 0-16, 1998-99 Clippers 0-17, 1988-89 Heat 0-17, 2009-10 Nets 0-18. On the bright side Michael Carter-Williams had a triple double (18pts, 10 RB, 16 AST), and K.J. McDaniels had a double double (21 pts, 13 RB). The Sixers drop to 0-16, and the Mavericks improve to 13-5.
