It took ten innings but the Phillies took the series finale from the Rays by the score  of 5-4 to win their second straight series, and finish their six game home stand 5-1. The Phillies jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first on a double play ground out by Ryan Howard, and a RBI single from Andres Blanco. The Rays came back and roughed up Adam Morgan for three runs in the fifth to take a 3-2 lead, and end Morgan’s afternoon. The Phillies came back and took the lead 4-3 in the sixth on a RBI double by Cody Asche, and an error by James Loney that allowed Cody Asche to score. The Rays weren’t quite finished yet. Logan Forsythe tied the game 4-4 with a solo home run in the seventh off Jake Diekman. Fast forward to the bottom of the tenth. With two out and Domonic Brown on second base pinch hitter Odubel Herrera fouled off roughly ten pitches before depositing one in left center field that scored Brown for the walk off win. The Phillies are now 34-63, and the Rays drop to 48-49.
