After the Phillies put a 12-2 beating on the Braves in game three of the series on Saturday night, they were looking to complete the four game sweep on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately for the Phillies the Braves were able to come away with a 6-2 win to avoid the sweep. The Phillies took a 1-0 lead on a RBI single by Cody Asche that scored Ryan Howard in the second. The Braves put up four runs in the fifth that included a three run homer by Jace Peterson (4)to take a 4-1 lead. Odubel Herrera’s RBI single in the bottom half of the fifth scored Cesar Hernandez to cut it to 4-2. The Braves would end the scoring with apair of insurance runs in the seventh.The loss ends the Phillies winning streak at three games, and are now 41-64. The Braves who are now 47-58 snapped their six game losing streak with the win.
