The Phillies lost a tough one to the Dodgers dropping game 2 by the score of 4-3. Yasiel Puig gave the Dodgers a 3-0 lead when he sent a Aaron Harang pitch into the seats in left field in the first inning. Maikel Franco cut it to 3-1 with a RBI double in the third that scored Odubel Herrera. The Dodgers got a huge insurance run in the fifth on an Adrian Gonzalez ground out that scored Jimmy Rollins with what would turn out to be the eventual winning run. Jeff Francoeur would cut it to 4-3 with a two run homer in the bottom of the eighth and giver the Phillies and their fans some hope heading into the ninth. Unfortunately Kenley Jansen struck out the side in the ninth. The Phillies fall to 42-66, and the Dodgers improve to 61-46.
