Not much to recap from game 2 of the series. The Phillies took a 1-0 lead in the first, and the D’backs responded with an 11 run second then cruised top a 13-1 win over the Phillies. The only good news that came out of this game for the Phillies was Maikel Franco only has a bruised wrist after being hit by a pitch in the first inning. If this pitching performance doesn’t send David Buchanan back the the minors then nothing will. After sweeping the D’backs in Philly back in May, the Phillies have been outscores by the D’backs 26-4 in two game in Arizona. the loss drops the Phillies to 45-69, and the D’backs improve to 56-56 with the win.
