The Phillies put an end to their four game losing streak, and extended their winning streak over the Padres to four games with a 7-1 win on Friday night. The Padres got their lone run in the top of the fourth on a Justin Upton (23) home run to go up 1-0. It was all Phillies after that. The Phillies responded with a pair of runs on a ground out, and wild pitch in the bottom of the fourth to take a 2-1 lead. The Phillies scored five in the eighth on a Aaron Altherr RBI triple, a Jeff Francoeur RBI double, and capped off by a Cameron Rupp (7) three run home run. Aaron Nola improve to 5-1, and Jerome Williams picked up his first save. The Phillies are now 51-78, and the Padres drop to 62-66.
