The Phillies hung on for 4-3 win on Saturday night to make it two straight wins, and extended their winning streak against the Padres to five straight. Darnell Sweeney gave the Phillies a 2-0 lead with a two run homer in the second inning. After the Padres tied it with a pair of unearned runs in the top of the fourth the Phillies responded with pair of runs of their own to retake the lead. Freddy Galvis’ double drove in Domonic Brown for a 3-2 lead, the Adam Morgan helped his own cause with a RBI single that drove in Freddy Galvis with what turned out to be the winning run. The Padres added a run in the seventh, but Ken Giles would come into the game in the ninth to pick up his 11th save. The Phillies are now 52-78, and the Padres drop their third straight and fall to 62-67.
