The Red Sox put the game away with an eight run fourth inning that included David Ortiz’s 30th home run, and three of Xander Bogaerts four RBI’s. the Phillies runs came on a Carlos Ruiz two run single that scored Jeff Francoeur, and Darnell Sweeney in the fifth. Xander Bogaerts’ fourth RBI of the game came on a ground out inn the bottom of the eighth. The Phillies lose their third straight and fall to 53-83. The Red Sox win their second straight and are now 63-72.
