The Eagles did what no one thought they had a chance to do, beat the Patriots. The Eagles were in Foxboro on Sunday and came away with a 35-28 win to end their ugly three game losing streak and keep their chances of winning the division alive. Considering most people were expecting a Patriots blowout it looked like that was going to happen after they took a 14-0 lead. It didn’t happen. The Eagles scored the next 35 points
on two Sam Bradford TD passes, a blocked punt returned for a TD just before half that tied the score 14-14, a Malcom Jenkins 99 yard interception return, and a Darren Sproles punt return, and the Eagles were up 35-14. After the Patriots cut it to 35-21 they recovered the onside kick and scored again to make it 35-28. After a Kenyon Barner fumble the Patriots has one last shot at tying the game, but the Eagles stopped the Patriots for the win, and for the first time since 2012 the Patriots have back to back losses in the regular season. Sunday’s game was the third time a team returned a blocked punt for a TD, an interception returned for a TD and a punt returned for a TD, all three time it was the Eagles that did it. One more thing this was Tom Brady’s first loss against the Eagles.
