The Phillies ended their six game losing streak with a 6-2 win over the Marlins in a Labor Day matinee. RBI singles by Ichiro Suzuki, and J.T. Realmuto gave the Marlins a 2-0 lead after one inning. Freddy Galvis’ (16) two run homer, and Miguel Rojas’ error in the fifth put the Phillies up 3-2. The Phillies added three more runs in the seventh on RBI singles by Peter Bourjos, and Jimmy Paredes to go up 6-2, and that would be the final. The Phillies improve to 61-75, and the Marlins drop their fourth straight and fall to 68-70.
