Now for the good news. The Carson Wentz era got off to a good start with the Eagles 29-10 win over the Cleveland Browns. Carson Wentz was looked good in his NFL debut going 22 /37 for 278 yards, 2 TD’s and a passer rating of 101.0. Jordan Mathews who didn’t play during the preseason had a good day catching 7 passes for 114 yards and was on the receiving end Carson Wentz’s first career TD pass. Ryan Mathews led then running game with 77 yards on 22 carries and a TD, and Kenyon Barner added 42 yards on 4 carries. The defense held RGIII to 190 yards passing with one interception. Isaiah Crowell had 62 yards rushing on 12 carries and a TD for the Browns. The Browns have now lost 12 straight opening week games.
