The NFL version of the “Battle of Pa” will take place on Sunday afternoon when the Pittsburgh Steelers take on their cross state rivals, and The Small Sports Blog’s favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams come into Sunday’s match up at 2-0. The Steelers are being picked by some experts to win Super Bowl. The Eagles weren’t picked to do much of anything this season, but that is starting to change with the emergence of their defense, and rookie QB Carson Wentz who has been the talk of the NFL after his impressive starts in weeks one and two. This week’s game against the Steelers will be a real test for Carson Wentz. Will the Steelers give Wentz and the Eagles a dose of reality, or will Wentz and the Eagles defense continue to impress and hand the Steelers their first loss? Here’s hoping it’s the Steelers first loss. The Eagles lead the series 47-28-3. Get the popcorn ready this could be one helluva game.
Line at the time of this post:
Steelers -4
Eagles +4
