Considering the Eagles first two wins were over the Browns and Bears the “Battle of Pa” between the Eagles and Steelers on Sunday afternoon was the first real test for Carson Wentz and the Eagles defense. Both Wentz and the defense passed with flying colors dominating the Steelers for a 34-3 win. Wentz impressed again going 23/31, 301 yards and 2 TD’s and no INT’s. Wendall Smallwood, and Kenyon Barner ran for TD’s, and Jordan Mathews, and Darren Sproles cought TD passes, Sproles was a 75 yard reception on third down to start the third quarter that may have taken some of the wind out of the Steelers sail. The defense held DeAngelo Williams to 21 yards rushing, and Roethlisberger to 257 yards passing, 0 TD’s 1 INT., and sacked him 4 times. The Steelers have now lost eight straight in Philly since their last win in Philly back in 1965. The Eagles improve to 3-0, and the Steelers drop to 2-1. Could these two teams meet again in the Super Bowl?
