Afters falling behind the Sabres 3-0 the Flyers used a three goal third period, all three goals were on the power play, to tie the game and send it to OT.  After a scoreless OT period the game went to the dreaded shootout. Shootouts have not been kind to the Flyers, and with Sabres goalie Anders Nilson 6-0 in shootouts it wasn’t looking good for the Flyers. When Jakub Voracek beat Nilson for the Flyers second shootout goal they completed the come back and came away with a 4-3 win. The Flyers improve to 3-3-1 (3-4), and the Sabres drop to 1-2-2 (1-4).
