Game 1: Jake Arrieta pitched eight shutout innings, but it was David Peralta who ruined what looked like a Phillies win with two late home runs. The first in the bottom of the ninth broke up the shutout, the second in the bottom of the fourteenth wIn it for the D’backs. D’backs 3 – Phillies 2.
Game 2: The Phillies took a 1-0 lead into the eighth when Cesar Hernadez’s bunt turned into a little league home run to put the Phillies up 2-0. The Phillies would add three more runs in the inning, and would hold on for the win. Phillies 5 – D’backs 2.
Game 3: The Phillies had nothing on Wednesday afternoon losing the series finale to the D’backs by the score of 6-0. Eduardo Escobar had three RBI’s, and David Peralta had two RBI for the D’backs. The D’backs took this series 2-1, and the season series 4-2.
Phillies: 64-50
D’backs: 64-52
