The Flyers dropped their fifth straight game losing to the Hurricanes 5-3 on Thursday night. The Hurricanes jumped out to a 4-0 lead on goals by Dougie Hamilton (4), Justin Williams (8), Teuvo Teravainen (9), first of game, and Warren Foegele (5). The Flyers would cut it to 4-3 in goals by Wayne Simmonds (12), Sean Couturier (15), and James van Riemsdyk (6). Teuvo Teravainen’s (10) second goal of the game made it 5-3 and put an end to the Flyers comeback. Flyers: 15-20-5, Hurricanes: 17-17-5.
